Setting Up Ambient Weather Station

This guide will help you connect your Ambient Weather Station to SmartMixin.

Supported Models

SmartMixin supports Ambient Weather stations including:

• WS-5000 Series
• WS-2000 Series
• WS-2902C
• And other models connected to ambientweather.net

Prerequisites

• An Ambient Weather station connected to ambientweather.net
• Your Ambient Weather API Key

Getting Your API Key

1. Log in to ambientweather.net
2. Go to your account settings
3. Navigate to the API Keys section
4. Create a new API Key if you don't have one
5. Copy the API Key for use in SmartMixin

Connection Steps

1. Go to Settings > Services > Ambient Weather
2. Click Connect
3. Enter your API Key
4. Click Save
5. Your stations will be automatically detected

Available Data

Ambient Weather stations can provide:

• Temperature (indoor and outdoor)
• Humidity
• Barometric pressure
• Wind speed and direction
• Wind gust
• Rain rate and daily/weekly/monthly totals
• UV index
• Solar radiation
• Dew point
• Feels like temperature

Multiple Stations

If you have multiple Ambient Weather stations, they will all be automatically detected and available in SmartMixin.

Troubleshooting

If your station isn't appearing:

• Verify your API Key is correct
• Ensure your station is online in the Ambient Weather app
• Check that your station is syncing to ambientweather.net
• Wait a few minutes for data to sync
