Setting Up Davis Weather Station

This guide will help you connect your Davis Weather Station to SmartMixin.

Supported Models

SmartMixin supports Davis weather stations including:

• Vantage Vue
• Vantage Pro2
• And other models connected to WeatherLink

Prerequisites

• A Davis weather station connected to WeatherLink
• Your Davis WeatherLink V2 API credentials (API Key and API Secret)

Getting Your API Credentials

1. Log in to weatherlink.com
2. Go to your account settings
3. Navigate to API V2
4. Generate or view your V2 API Key and API Secret
5. Copy these values for use in SmartMixin

Connection Steps

1. Go to Settings > Services > Davis
2. Click Connect
3. Enter your V2 API Key and API Secret
4. Click Save
5. Your stations will be automatically detected

Available Data

Davis stations can provide:

• Temperature (indoor and outdoor)
• Humidity
• Barometric pressure
• Wind speed and direction
• Wind gust
• Rain measurements
• UV index
• Solar radiation
• ET (evapotranspiration)

Historical Data

Note: Historical data access depends on your WeatherLink subscription level. Free accounts may have limited or no access to historical data.

Troubleshooting

If your station isn't appearing:

• Verify your API credentials are correct
• Ensure your station is online in WeatherLink
• Check that your station is syncing to the WeatherLink cloud
• Make sure you're using V2 API credentials (not V1)
