Netatmo Energy Reports & Analysis

SmartMixin provides dedicated reports for your Netatmo Energy system. Whether you use a Smart Thermostat, Smart Radiator Valves, or both, these reports help you understand your heating patterns, optimize energy usage, and compare performance across seasons.

Note: These reports are separate from weather station reports. For weather data analysis, see Weather Station Reports & Analysis.

Prerequisites

Before you can access Energy reports, make sure:

How to Access

  1. Open your Netatmo Energy home in SmartMixin
  2. Tap the Analysis tab

Reports are grouped by type, so you can quickly find the one you need.

Available Reports

ReportDescription
Monthly Thermostat ReportMonthly summary of heating activity -- setpoint temperatures, actual temperatures, and heating duration
Annual Thermostat ReportYearly overview of heating patterns and total heating hours
Monthly Temperature vs. Heating DurationShows the relationship between outdoor temperature and how long the heating runs each day for a given month -- helps identify insulation efficiency
Annual Temperature vs. Heating DurationSame analysis over a full year -- useful for spotting seasonal patterns
Annual Heating ComparisonCompare heating data year-over-year -- see how changes to your schedule, insulation, or equipment affect energy usage

Understanding Your Heating Data

Here are a few key concepts that will help you read your reports:

  • Setpoint temperature: The target temperature set on your thermostat. This is the temperature your heating system is trying to reach.
  • Heating duration: How long the heating system ran to reach the setpoint. Longer durations at the same setpoint may indicate heat loss.
  • Temperature vs. duration correlation: A steeper curve means more heating is needed for each degree the outdoor temperature drops. This can indicate poor insulation or air leaks.

Tips for Getting the Most Out of Your Reports

  • Compare heating seasons year-over-year to measure the impact of insulation improvements or equipment upgrades.
  • Use the Monthly Temperature vs. Heating Duration report to identify unusually high heating demand at mild outdoor temperatures -- this could signal a problem worth investigating.
  • Check the Annual Heating Comparison after making changes to your heating schedule to see if they had the desired effect.
