Setting Your Unit Preferences

Customize how measurements are displayed throughout SmartMixin.

Accessing Unit Settings

• Mobile: Go to Settings > Units
• Webapp: Go to Settings > Preferences > Units

Available Unit Options

Temperature

• Celsius (°C)
• Fahrenheit (°F)
• Kelvin (K)

Wind Speed

• km/h (kilometers per hour)
• m/s (meters per second)
• mph (miles per hour)
• knots
• Beaufort (bft)

Pressure

• mb (millibars)
• inHg (inches of mercury)
• mmHg (millimeters of mercury)

Rain

• mm (millimeters)
• in (inches)

Distance

• m/km (meters, kilometers)
• ft/mi (feet, miles)

Feel-Like Temperature Calculation (Mobile Only)

Choose how the feel-like temperature is computed:

• Humidex: Combines temperature and humidity to express perceived heat. This is the Canadian comfort index.
• Heat Index: Similar to Humidex but uses the US National Weather Service formula.
• Apparent Temperature: Takes into account temperature, humidity, and wind speed for a more comprehensive feel-like value.

Applying Changes

Your unit preferences are applied immediately across:

• Dashboard displays
• Historical charts
• Forecasts
• Alerts and notifications
• Data exports

Platform Sync

Your unit preferences sync across all your devices. Set them once and they'll be applied everywhere you use SmartMixin.
