Customizing Your Dashboard

SmartMixin lets you rearrange and show or hide sections on your weather station dashboard, so you see the data that matters most to you at a glance.

How to Access Dashboard Customization

You can customize your dashboard on both the mobile app and the web app:

1. Open a station's dashboard
2. Tap or click the gear icon (customize/config button)
3. The customization panel will appear, showing all available sections

Available Actions

Reorder Sections

Use drag-and-drop to change the order of your dashboard components. Simply grab a section and move it to your preferred position. Your layout is saved automatically.

Show or Hide Sections

Each section has a visibility toggle. Turn it on or off to control which sections appear on your dashboard. This is especially useful if your station has many sensors and you want to focus on specific data.

Dashboard Sections

The list of sections you can customize depends on your station's sensors and the providers you've connected. Examples include:

Forecast & sky

• Next hours — Short-term hourly predictions
• Daily forecast — Multi-day forecast with optional model comparison
• Rain radar — Animated precipitation map
• Sunrise and sunset — Daily astral times
• Moon — Moon phase and visibility

Sensor sections

• Air quality — Outdoor air quality and PM2.5 readings
• Temperature & humidity sensors — Outdoor temperature and humidity probes
• Soil sensors — Soil moisture, temperature and electrical conductivity (EC)
• Depth sensors — Snow depth, water level and other laser distance readings
• Leaf sensors — Leaf wetness measurements
• Black globe & WBGT — Heat-stress sensors
• Lightning — Lightning detection
• Home information — Indoor temperature, humidity, CO₂
• Indoor air quality — Indoor PM and air quality
• Camera — Live camera feed if your station supports it

Note: You will only see sections for sensors that are available on your station. If your station does not have a particular sensor, the corresponding section will not appear.

Tier 1 Sections

Core weather data sections — Weather warnings and Current conditions — are considered Tier 1 and are always pinned at the top of your dashboard. These essential sections cannot be reordered or hidden, ensuring you always have access to your most important weather information.

Per-Station Configuration

Each station has its own independent dashboard layout. If you have multiple stations, you can customize the dashboard for each one separately. Changes you make to one station's dashboard will not affect another.

Synced Across Your Devices

When you're signed in, your dashboard layout — which sections are shown and the order they appear in — syncs automatically across all your devices. Customize the dashboard on your phone and the same layout appears on your tablet and in the web app. If you're not signed in, your layout is saved on that device only.
